Nose: The nose is intense of forest fruits, undergrowth, violet, and spices.
Palate: Intense deep red color turning to garnet with aging.  Harmonious, full-bodied.

Food Pairing: Goes well with savory first courses, such as gnocchi or tagliatelle with meat sauce, mushroom risotto, lasagna, and medium-aged cheeses. It is "king" with traditional Piedmontese dishes: mixed fry tagliata di Fassona, sweet semolina, and fondue sprinkled with a generous shower of white truffle petals.
